TAMTA Sonatina Competition
University of Tulsa's Lorton Performance Center
Give students the opportunity to perform an entire Sonatina and compete for trophies in Level A and cash awards in Levels I, II, III, IV, and V.
First place winners may not compete in that level again. They may move up to the next level.
REQUIREMENTS
Perform an entire multi-movement Sonatina by memory. No Viennese Sonatinas are allowed.
For a list of current approved Sonatinas, click here. Teachers wishing to submit a Sonatina not listed may send a photo copy of the Sonatina to the Sonatina Chair for approval before October 1, 2025.
PRIZES
Level A: Level A is open to students K through 5th grade. Trophies will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners
Level I: Open to student K through 6th grade; 1st place $30
Level II: Open to students K through 7th grade; 1st place $40
Level III: Open to students K through 8th grade; 1st place $50
Level IV: Open to students through 12th grade; 1st place $60
Level V: Open to students through 12th grade; 1st place $70
Trophies will be given to all 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Honor Awards will receive medallions.
