About Dr. Kingma

Kingma Piano Studio offers serious and aspiring classical pianists the highest level of professional classical piano lessons in Tulsa, as well as online piano instruction for competitions and auditions. Under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Joseph Kingma, a concert pianist and former college professor, students are trained in excellence in artistry and technique.

Dr. Kingma draws on his own musical pedigree and performance experience to impart the secrets of piano playing to his students. He was trained in a line of great pianists, was the First Prize winner of the American Liszt Society’s 2017 Liszt International Competition, and continues to be a performer with national recognition, Dr. Kingma’s depth of experience, knowledge, and artistry enable his students to reach the highest levels of their potential.

Student Successes

With years of experience teaching at the collegiate level and mentoring students to succeed in festivals and competitions, Dr. Kingma’s approach is rooted in fostering technical mastery, artistry, and confidence. Kingma Piano Studio is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and also offers lessons online for students around the world. Recent student successes include acceptance in to the Manhattan School of Music, Boston Conservatory, Chopin Foundation Scholarship, Oklahoma State MTNA Senior Piano First Prize, and a performance with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.
